Smart pair of late C19th French Napoleon III period marble and ormolu cassolettes of neo-classical design.

Stylish pair of white marble lidded reversible cassolettes or candlesticks with quality ormolu bronze mounts .

The ovoid marble bodies with floral swag decoration, raised on tri-form shaped supports with well-cast rams-head detail to the tops and cloven feet below .The circular bases with ormolu beading and raised on compressed bun feet . The removable lids with stylised berry knops , the reversing candle nozzles with cast detail. The interiors also gilded.

In excellent original condition, with only minor chips the edges of the reversible tops .
