Description

Antique gold filled Waltham pocket watch 1897.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is signed Am Watch Co, Waltham, Mass and it has the serial number 8140385 which dates it back to 1897. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 51.8mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. The case has light surface marks from use and some small "dings" to the back but overall is in nice condition for a 1897 piece.

The glass lens has a small nibble to the edge at 11 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The white enamel dial is signed Waltham. It has a few very faint hairline cracks although hardly noticeable.

The watch has its original gold hands and blued steel sub second hand.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

Price includes worldwide postage.
