This is a very nice miniature carriage clock of Cannilee design which is decorated with beautiful porcelain panels which depict a bridge and a river to the front with a tree surrounding the dial.To the sides one panel shows a child picking flowers for a maiden and on the other side a child and maiden are picking fruit.These panels are very attractive and in perfect condition.
This clock would date circa 1880.
The 8 day duration time only movement is of very high quality and is numbered 719 but unsigned .It retains its original lever bi metal and heavily compensated platform escapement which is currently being serviced by a member of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.(makers marks may become apparent during this process)
? The clock is in outstanding condition with 99% of the gilding present .It will delight the most discerning buyer.
The images should show prospective buyers all they need to see but a personal inspection is very welcome as this item is actually nicer in real life than the images depict.
