Description

An excellent quality Edwardian period inlaid mahogany bureau bookcase of generous proportions. Of very good construction in the Sheraton style. Decorated throughout with satinwood stringing, banding, paterae and a lovely central oval panel to the fall front. The top glazed section is surmounted by a broken arch swan neck pediment. The pair of glazed doors (lockable with key supplied) open to access an interior with adjustable shelving. The base section, or bureau, has an opening fall over an arrangement of 2 short over 3 long drawers. The fall opens to access a fitted interior with stationary compartments a row of small drawers fronted in satinwood and a leather writing surface. Offered for sale in excellent original condition, with a great colour, ready to go straight into the home. Splits into two sections for ease of installation.
