Rare Silver Stamp Case Birmingham 1911

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

A wonderful, solid silver stamp case, in the most rare and exquisite design. The case is hinged at the bottom. The top opens and closes with a nice click. The opening fastener at the top is very unusual and charmingly ornate. The case is plain polished silver with no embossing or engraving, which adds to the wonderful appearance of the case and emphasises the lovely fastener! When the case is opened clear hallmarks are visible for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1911 and maker''s marks for Albert Ernest Jenkins.
