Edwardian Carved Oak Coffer

Description

A charming antique Edwardian oak blanket box or coffer. The front carved with green man motif, it has two attractive brass hinges to the top. The hinged lid lifts to reveal a storage space to the inside. In well-figured oak with good colour and patina.

Good colour and patina. wear and marks commensurate with age. Some old wood worm holes to the bottom front. Split to one side. Formerly the base of a hall bench.
