Art Deco World has dated this piece to the 1930s.

The excellent Bulova signed CASE is finished in 14k Gold Fill as confirmed on the inside of the hinged case back together with the signature, the 1927 patent date and the serial number Which is miss-stamped and should read 8017540. The rectangular shaped case has cut corners and measures approx. 24mm excluding the crown and 36mm lug tip to tip. The case back is free of any engravings, shows no wear-through to the plating and snaps shut securely.

The patinated DIAL is finished in white and is furnished with filled ‘Radium’ style numeral hour markers and has an inner minute track with sub seconds register at the 6 point and the signature below the 12. The hour and minute hands are in the ‘Cathedral’ style and retain some of their original radium infill, they are complimented by a blue steel sweeping action seconds hand.

The clean signed MOVEMENT is a calibre 9at mechanical hand winding unit currently running fine on its 15 jewels, it winds and sets correctly and unusually it is dual stamped with the date code symbol for 1929 and 1930 and is stamped with the serial number 415734; the original dust shield and retaining ring are present and intact.The CRYSTAL appears to be without fault or flaw. The attached BAND is a black supple genuine leather strap with a maximum fit length of 8 inches
