Georgian Mahogany Linen Press C.1800.

Description

Superb George III mahogany linen press c.1800. In two pieces with a two door top fitted with four sliding shelves over a chest of two short and two long drawers of graduated depth. Deep cornice with a unusual carved detail (continued on the sides), gorgeous flame mahogany door panels with a crossbanded border and raised mouldings, original elaborately cast gilded brass handles and original tall bracket feet. Of superior quality with solid mahogany sides and oak linings to the slides and drawers. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Note the slides could be easily removed and a hanging rail fitted if preferred.
