A Japanese Edo Period Walrus - Marine IVory Netsuke - Chokaro Sennin

As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this Edo period (1615-1868) circa 1850 Japanese Walrus Ivory Netsuke depicting Chokaro Sennin, modelled sitting upon a rocky outcrop wearing traditional robes covered in leaves, he is looking in to the sky with a humorous facial expression, hung over the left shoulder he is carrying his large double gourd, although unsigned we attribute this piece to an artist called ''Chogetsu'' of Osaka, the Himotoshi has been formed to the rear, a great addition to your Japanese works of art collection.
