As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this Japanese Meiji period(1868-1912) circa: 1890 Ivory Netsuke depicting two Karako Acrobats, the two figures play fighting, both dressed in traditional attire, one of the young boys has hold of the others hair, in retaliation the younger boy attempts to pull on the other boys mouth, the artist has captured this action in great detail, a most charming subject Netsuke artist signed to the underside in a two character signature that translates to read '' Hidechika'', a great addition to your Netsuke or Japanese works of art collection.
