Regency Cut Glass Vase & Cover

Description

A Regency Cut Glass Vase and Cover.

The cover with a faceted and hobnail decorated ball finial, above the down swept bell shaped body decorated with hobnail leaves, above a band of diamond shaped hobnails, and thence flutes, sweeping to the faced edged rim. The vase with a fluted collar above a band of hobnail leaves, and then a band of diamond hobnails as per the cover. The vase tapering to a ring socle, spreading in flutes to the stepped square plinth base.

Date c 1820.
