Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The cover with a faceted and hobnail decorated ball finial, above the down swept bell shaped body decorated with hobnail leaves, above a band of diamond shaped hobnails, and thence flutes, sweeping to the faced edged rim.
The vase tapering to a ring socle, spreading in flutes to the stepped square plinth base.
Date c 1820.
Height 13 1/2 inches, width 5 inches, depth 5 inches.
