Description

GILLOWS of LANCASTER: a pretty early/mid 19th century mahogany CARD TABLE of useful compact size.

Of typical Gillows quality, the timber used here is of the finest, with bead-and-dart moulding to the well-figured fold-over top. To the frieze is a mahogany-lined drawer with further bead-and-dart moulding to the lower edges.

It is raised on finely turned; reeded and fluted supports which lead to cabriole legs united by a turned stretcher and carved "knurled" feet with original castors beneath. Replaced navy blue baize lining to the interior. 25ins wide; 16ins deep; 29.5ins high. (63.5 x 40.5 x 75cms)
