Rare Early Half Hunter Pocket Watch

Description

A rare and early version of a half hunter pocket watch. A Silver inner and outer case, with raised area in the case back. An enamel dial with black Roman numerals, read through the center glass and to the main dial once opened. Matching half hunter hands in gold. A verge escapement with finely decorated backcock and signed by maker 'Hay, Shrewsbury'. Birmingham hallmarks date this watch to 1857.
