Hingstons of Wilton has dated this piece to the Regency era.
This Georgian mahogany sofa table is of a lovely mellow mahogany colour.
It is fitted a pair of working drawers to the front, and a pair of dummy drawers to the rear.

Made circa 1820, it has the elegance and timeless style you would expect from a late Regency piece.
This Georgian sofa table, also has the very desirable feature of the stretcher hidden at the top of the legs not on view. Many sofa tables have a pole stretcher running between the end supports, which can make the sofa table look heavy.
It stands on end supports with a pair of swept legs coming off it. Each leg with the original brass square cap toes and with brass rolling castors under.
The top surface has an attractive satinwood banding running around the edge, as well as fine box wood stringing on the end supports, the swept legs and drawers.
