Description

A superb large Meiji period Shodana having a combination of 10 Shibayama doors,panels and drawers. All with ivory, bone and mother of pearl applied and inlaid decoration. The cabinet is further enhanced with a carved and open fret work with gold lacquer backgrounds to each panel. The cabinet stands on a typical carved and shaped base and transports in 2 pieces. In very good condition with one or two signs of wear to the gilding. Sizes:- Max. Height…83’’/ 211cm. Depth…16.75’’/ 42.5cm. Max. Width at base…56’’/ 142cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £120.
