Antique Edwardian Mahogany Twin Pedestal Leather Top Desk C1900

Antique Edwardian Mahogany Twin Pedastal Desk and dating from around 1900. Constructed from quality Mahogany it has its original hide leather skiver set within a cross banded and moulded edge that is slightly concave to the centre. This is above three drawers again with the central drawer being slightly concave. To each pedestal there are three drawers. All of the drawers are mahogany lined with original brass handles and flanked on either side by a reeded edge. The desk stands on short cabriole legs that are carved to the shoulders and on claw and ball feet.

A superb quality desk that has a polished back ( see photo) enabling it to be situated anywhere in a room.

The top removes from the pedestals for ease of transporting.

With a lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
