Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The seat would have originally been caned and now has a newly reupholstered drop-in seat. Solid and sturdy with few old mends to the back and some old worm holes throughout. A very decorative chairs that would look wonderful in a hall or perhaps a bathroom or bedroom.

pained pine.
Condition Report:
Solid and sturdy. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Some paint appears original, other areas repainted. It appears to have quite a bit of restoration. Lots of old worm holes.
