Description

A wonderful late Georgian attar (or more commonly known, Oxford Lavender Water bottle). These charming scent bottles were sold containing small amounts of perfume and were intended to be thrown away after use, making it a rare item nowadays. This example has four faceted sides with delicate gilded decoration. The bottle dates to the late Georgian period circa 1830 and unusually, retains the original glass stopper. A charming collectors piece. Dimensions below.
