Japanese Meiji Period Inlaid Bronze Koro By Nogawa

A beautiful Japanese Meiji period bronze koro by the Nogawa company, standing on four feet it is inlaid with mixed-metal decoration including a landscape scene on one side and two cranes in flight on the other, further decorated with border work at the top of the koro, on the handles and legs, and on the cover which has a fo dog finial. This charming koro has holes either size to release the burning incense and bears the Nogawa mark on the underside, it is in excellent overall condition and stands 4 ¼ inches tall.
