Signed oil on canvas of a group of fishing boats mounted on a stunning 19th century frame. The painting is signed by the Belgium artist Cesar Geerinck

César Geerinck (Zele 1862 - Bruges 1919) was a Belgian painter who studied at the Academy in Dendermonde. He had a preference for landscapes, still lifes and interiors. He received an honourable mention at the competition for the Prix de Rome in 1889 and again in 1892. He was present at all exhibitions of the Bruges Circle Artistique Brugeois from 1903 to 1919. He was also a member of the Bruges art circle ‘Kunst’ and is mentioned in various Belgian art books.
