The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a good quality Swiss stem-winding jewelled movement, which is working well. The movement is stamped 15 jewewls, 2 adjustments, Swiss made. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model by the England based watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case has light surface marks from use but overall it is in nice condition. The inner dust cover has some wear / surface scratches from use.

The watch glass is in nice condition.
The white enamel dial is signed with the original retailer’s name, Shackleton & Co Brighouse . The dial has a couple of faint surface scratches although hardly noticeable to the naked eye.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
