Antique Regency Mahogany Chest on Chest Secretaire C1820

Antique Regency Mahogany Chest on Chest With Secretaire and dating from around 1820. Constructed from quality man hogan it has a cornice top with Greek Key moulding above a deep carved fretwork frieze. There are two short drawers over three long graduating drawers all of hochbare oak lined with brass handles. The base is moulded to the top above a long Secretaire drawer which opens to reveal a very nice interior with a small central moulded door flanked on either side by a sliding bookend secret compartment drawer and to each side there are three small drawers over four pigeon holes with mould d arched frames. Below the Secretaire there are two long graduating drawers both of which are oak lined with brass handles and the whole standing on ogee bracket feet.

The top removes from the base for ease of transporting.
