Description

A stunning pair of British issued First World War binoculars or field glasses dating to around 1918.

The brass has been meticulously polished and with various marks including S-4 x and the military crows foot. They are fitted with folding eye shades to minimise glare in bright sunshine. The central section is most tactile with a textured grip where they would be held,

Excellent condition measuring 4 5/8" wide x 4 5/8" tall extending to 6 1/2" while fully extended and the sun shades pulled out. They are signed by the Welsh retailer / optician, Ewer & Leahy Cardiff. The case measures 5 5/8" x 3" x 5 1/2".
