Stunning antique French boudoir clock.
It stands on its original integral base. To the sides are fretted panels backed with red velvet. The design is beautifully bold and heavily moulded in brass, well chased and finished. It is modelled in the round and so would display very well on a table.
Dial is a beautiful enamel on copper, it is complete with its original delicately fretted brass hands.
The French movement is of excellent quality and is in clean and fully working condition, complete with original pendulum. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell, click the video below to see and hear the movement!
The finish of the brass is excellent, bright and clean. There are some minor areas of wear or discoloration. The dial is in excellent condition with no chips, just a very light scratch. We have replaced the red velvet with new.
