William IV Rosewood Fold Over Games Table C.1835.

Description

Very handsome William IV rosewood fold over games table c.1835. Stands flat against the wall as an elegant console or side table or turn and open the top to make a table for four people with a green baize playing surface for cards. Highly figured rosewood veneered top with crossbanded edges over a shaped apron with lovely carved detail. Raised on a tapering column pedestal, flared and moulded at the base, and shaped plinth with unusual turned feet with the original brass castors hidden below. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
