Fine Quality French Empire Period Mahogany Table

Description

A superb quality French 2nd Empire period mahogany table. Of excellent construction in a high grade of dense mahogany timber and attractive mahogany veneers. The rectangular top is inset with book matched quartered veneers and surrounded by a ormolu banding. The table is further embellished with crisp ormolu mounts throughout. There is a single long drawer to the freeze. The table is finished to the rear so it could be free standing within a room if desired. It stands on elegant turned and fluted legs which are united by a stylised x-frame cross stretcher. This beautiful table is presented for sale in excellent condition. It is wonderful quality, with a great colour and patina. Cleaned and waxed in pour workshops and now ready to go straight into the home.
