Description

A 19th Century Brass Door Porter, Door Stop.

The loop handle decorated with a rope twist, enclosed in folding leaves, emerging from the shank, decorated as a rising flower stalk. The base in the form of a lions paw, with hairy ankle, and four clawed toes. The rear with cast iron loading, conforming to the shape of the paw.

Date c 1850.
