A gents boxed 9 carat gold Smiths De Luxe wrist watch, made in England, 1959.

The watch has 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch itself measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1959 with a maker's mark for Aaron Dennison, a prolific maker of cases who supplied various watch manufacturers. The case back has a long service inscription. The case is in good condition with just light surface marks, nothing serious at all.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish, it has darkened with age but has a charming appearance.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in its original Smiths De Luxe presentation box.
