Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The drawers are fitted with attractive brass handles and brass escutcheons. The drawers have various arrangements of dividers and have locks (apart from the bottom drawer). It comes with a key which locks the large drawer and the middle drawer. To the top is the original Rexine/leather cloth writing surface which is nicely aged. The piece is in a medium oak which is well figured with lots of age and character and offers plenty of storage and work space in a fairly compact size.

Solid and sturdy, good original condition. General wear and marks commensurate with age. Some wear and scuffs to writing surface. Beautiful figuring and warm patina to the oak.
