A silver-plated spoon warmer in the classic nautilus shell design with a ''naturalistic'' base.
It is rather plainly decorated, with out-going lines from a central circle, which serve to emphasise the size of the shell. The hinge is good and the lid stays open. There are no maker''s marks on the shell or base. The base is slightly wobbly and it has a useful thumb piece on the side.
