Slender Victorian Burr Walnut Library Bookcase

Description

A splendid and rare mid Victorian period burr walnut library bookcase of slender proportions. Of fine construction in walnut with stunning burr walnut veneers. Probably originally commissioned to fit within a niche or a pier. The top section is surmounted by a stepped cornice and has a single glazed door. The door opens to access an interior with two adjustable shelves. The base section has a single cupboard door which opens to reveal a shelved interior. All standing on a plinth base. Both doors are lockable (key supplied). We have had this wonderful bookcase sympathetically repolished in our workshops. It is now offered for sale in excellent condition with a rich colour an patina, ready to go straight into the home, or office.
