Description

A superb decorative pair of Chinese Chippendale open bookcases in the George III manner. The fluted pagoda tops surmounted by a fret work pierced gallery, above three shelves with rounded dentil decoration flanked by cluster columns. The three green japanned panels beautifully painted with gilt chinoiserie pagodas within landscapes. The lower shelves with gadrooned edging, the whole raised on block feet decorated with roundels. English circa 1920

Dimensions: 42.5" wide x 11" deep x 58" high

Condition: This pair of bookcases are in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
