Coromandel Writing Box C.1850.

Description

Quality mid 19th.c. writing box c.1850. Beautifully figured coromandel with inlaid brass plaque, edges and campaign style flush-fitting handles. Opens to form a writing slope with a tooled leather skiver, ink stand and pen rack. The slope opens on both sides to reveal storage below for stationery, envelopes etc plus three small drawers with turned bone knobs. Excellent condition.
