Antique Burr Walnut Leather Top Pedestal Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

Very impressive antique walnut leather top pedestal desk which separates into three sections for easy transportation. The top has a tooled hand coloured leather writing surface, surrounded by a burr walnut edge. All the drawers are graduated in depth, with burr walnut fronts, hand dovetails, original brass handles & locks. It has canted corners & the bracket feet are also burr walnut. This desk has a good colour all over & the back is polished too. Antique desks of this size in burr walnut are very hard to find. I would date this desk to around the 1920’s period & it’s in excellent condition, having just been French polished.

Height – 30.7 inches, 78 cm

Knee height – 25 inches, 63 cm
