Description

A French sonnerie striking and repeating carriage clock. A rarer type with 1/2 hour sonnerie repeating and hour striking on a gong with grand sonnerie quarter striking on repeat button. A circular enamel dial with gold dot 5 minute markers and subsidiary alarm dial below. Signed to the dial by retailers ' Baptiste & Cie, Bogota'. A high quality gorge case with stepped mouldings and a large glass top panel. The original carrying box. Circa 1880.
