A Lovely Arts & Crafts Silver Stamp Case

1900 - 1920
Description

A lovely item of Arts and Crafts silver. A hallmarked silver stamp 'envelope' with an attaching ring for a fob or chatelaine. The front is beautifully planished or spot hammered, which is repeated on the back. These novelty items were formed in the shape of an envelope and the hinged lid opens to reveal an aperture for stamps. A lovely and unusual collector's item.
