The convex enamelled disc to the front of the case - Dent 2254.
The silvered and engraved brass dial signed to the centre Dent Chronometer Maker To The Queen and numbered 2254, subsidiary dials for state of wind/power reserve and seconds zone, cast brass bezel with original convex glass. Blued steel hands.
The fully serviced 56 hour movement of the finest quality with Dent's staple balance.
The single fusee movement with spring detent escapement, free sprung blued helical hairspring, Dent's staple balance, diamond endstone, maintaining power.
All contained within the original signed and numbered brass bowl (Dent 2254) and gimbals.
Original ratcheted brass tipsy winding key.
A very fine and original chronometer by the eminent maker EJ Dent, fully serviced and rated to the highest standard by our horologist who is a Fellow of the British Horological Institute and recipient of the 1977 Worshipful Clockmakers Company bronze medal.
