Rare and Stunning Pretty Set of French Perfume Bottles - Tortoise Shell Tops

Description

An exceptional find, I have been quite creative today with natural food colouring today, a perfect way to show off the amazing cut and engraved decoration on these three stunning bottles; a great way to display these too if you wanted to, choosing a colour perhaps to match your decor.

The bottles came to me in their original leather case (no beauty) a blessing as it is this case has that has kept this set in pristine condition over the last 100 years.

Each top is made from gorgeous antique tortoiseshell with super markings and colours ranging from golden champagne to deep chocolate brown. Each top is inlaid with gold pique work, decorative initials.

The collars are made from sterling silver and washed in gold (silver gilt). All three retain their original glass stoppers to keep their precious contents from evaporating.

A must for the discerning and all in as perfect a condition as can be wished for. Each bottle measures 5 3/4" tall, 2 1/2" wide x 1 5/8" deep. The travel case measures 6" x 6" x 3 1/4".
