Mahogany Wellington Chest. English C 1870

Description

Attractive 19th century mahogany Wellington chest of 8 drawers in good condition.

This delightful chest is dated to the 1870's and is veneered in figured mahogany and retains a mellow antique patination. It stands on a plinth base and the drawers are secured by a hinged upright section on the left hand side.

The drawers run smoothly and have their original handles. This chest has been lightly refurbished and then wax polished. There are some small ancient repairs commensurate with age. A handsome and adaptable piece of antique furniture.

Dimensions;- height 41 ins. width 28 ins. depth 18 ins..
