~~ Excellent condition ~~
A stunning antique French portico clock set.
It is classical in style, the clock is mounted between a four column portico with the pendulum visible swinging below. The ormolu pendulum depicts a basket abundant with fruit and flowers.

The side vases feature acanthus finials and handles mounted to the same stunning marble as the clock. The dial is enamel on copper, exquisitely decorated with floral swags delicately painted between the numbers of the dial. Hands are gilded, fretted brass.

The French movement is by Samuel Marti and has the makers 'gold medal 1900' mark on the back plate. It is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video available of the clock running and striking.

Condition of the case is excellent, marble has a very good polish with no major chips or scratches, just the usual tiny nibbles to the edges. Ormolu is also in very good condition with a bright and clean finish. Dial is in very good condition with no chips or scratches, just some slight nibbles round the winding holes. One back foot of one vase has been replaced at some time.
