Description

19th Century mahogany and inlaid desk, a fabulous quality double pedestal desk with nine oak lined drawers with brass swan neck handles, the drawers have boxwood stringing and fan inlays, the sides are crossbanded with a central floral inlay, the back is also crossbanded with a lady on one pedestal and a gentleman on the other one, the top has a black leather inset, the leather is inset with a mahogany and floral marquetry crossbanded edge with satinwood, the top also has a nice feature which is a reading / writing slope on a ratchet. Circa 1820.
