Description

An impressive French mantle clock with the original matching side vases. A gilt case with finely detailed decorations to the columns and case front, sides and back. A gilt dial with floral centre and blued steel hands. A domed pediment and 5 finials. Original giltwood plinths to the side vases. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong. Signed to the mechanism by the maker Samuel Marti. Circa. 1890.
