Antique 1917 Waltham Traveler half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is stamped American Waltham U.S.A. Traveler and it also has the serial number 21723767 which dates it back to 1917. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Co . This case has blue Roman numerals to the front cover. The case has light surface marks from use and the odd small "ding" but overall it is in nice condition.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. The inner lens is acrylic and is in nice condition. The white enamel dial is signed Waltham, U.S.A. and is in nice condition.

The watch has blued steel hands designed so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed … with conventional hands, it would be impossible to tell which hand was which through the small lens.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
