Fabulous Large Antique Black Forest Novelty Inkwell C.1890 - Dog

A superbly carved figural Black Forest inkwell in the form of a Dog''s head, with great detail and retaining two large glass eyes.
 
The hinged lid opens to reveal an inner ink chamber opened with the little lever to the side, with a glass liner.
 
Dating to the late Victorian era, c.1890, it remains in excellent condition. 5'' x 4 1/2'' x 5 1/4'' tall.
