This Regency inlaid mahogany chest of drawers is of a D shape.
Having half columns of rope twist and reeds to each side of the drawers. The rope twist was very popular in the early part ofthe19thc. in celebration of Nelson’s naval victories at the Battle of Trafalgar.

Having 3 large drawers along the top, these are normally known as hat or bonnet drawers.
A further 3 full width drawers are below the hat drawers.
Each drawer has the delightful box wood stringing finishing with a arrowhead motif at the end.
