Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
To the middle of the doors is a pair of stunning original brass escutcheons, and also an original lock (no key). The doors have lovely panelling and mouldings and have a beautiful rich patina. These doors, originally from a French armoire, would add character to any home – they could be used as window shutters, doors for a room or for a fitted wardrobe.
