Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The seat has been newly recovered over the existing upholstery which is in fair condition. Very solid and sturdy, would make a wonderful desk chair.

Fairly solid and sturdy with wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly recovered over the existing upholstery which is in fair condition (a couple of small marks to the fabric). A split to the arm, which has been glued at some point. (see photo). Mend to back of top rail (see photo).
