Dished rectangular papier-mâché tray with gilded decoration mounted on a folding ebonised base to form a useful decorative low table.

Good bright gilding and exotic decoration featuring flowers ,foliage and butterflies. One edge of the tray with an historic repair , the tray is slightly warped but still usable as a table .

Smart and practical occasional table which could work equally well as a decorative screen in a fireplace .
