Description

A good quality French boulle tortoiseshell mantel clock. Well cast ormolu case mounts and inlaid brass to the front and sides of the case. An enamel dial signed by Henry Marc, Paris. Roman numerals to the dial, being indicated by finely pierced hands. A viewing aperture with a sunburst pendulum on show. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell stamped 'Japay Freres'. Circa 1880.
