Antique English Letter Opener - Sterling Silver Cherub - 1906

Description

A charming Edwardian cased letter opener, complete with it's original presentation case.

The letter opener has a terminal in the form of a Cherub or Putti figure both back and front, fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1906 together with the makers mark, I believe for Joseph Jennens & Co. The blade is made from an early resin material.

Both the letter opener and case remain in superb condition.

The opener measures 6 1/2" x 3/4".
